Master Your Practice

The Physis approach systematically cultivates the “Total Artist." This means, on top of the acquisition of technique, we address the cognitive, artistic, cultural, and physical demands that contemporary 3d digital artists must meet. It is a pedagogy that builds on a foundation of traditional fine art with advanced 3D digital methods and appropriate use of assistive AI.

Digital art, VFX, animation, and game design are brutally meritocratic fields. Being merely competent with software is not enough. Each day, AI automates another labour-intensive digital task. So an artist’s value is no longer defined by technical literacy. Your value lies in your authorial coherence and cognitive flexibility. In other words, artistic originality and versatility in mastering new tools with an open mind – And this can only be evaluated by what you make.

Learning with Physis takes place in small, collaborative groups. Participants evolve together through reflective feedback, guided by master practitioners.

The curriculum favours project-based production and promotes habits and discipline that lead to sustainable, holistic creative practice that privileges each artist's primary creative motives and ensures long-term fulfilment and career viability.
